Card Whiz finally working ... Thank you Rawdon and Andrew ( Cardini)!

After nine years of struggling to fix my Card Whiz i finally found two guys that wouldn't give up.
The problem was very unique. Power to the flippers would drop out every time the ball scored and the machine scoring was incorrect.
They travelled great distance to my house to see the machine & persevered long into the night.
After a long day with little success they returned home and i was considering selling it.
The following day i got a call from Andrew asking if he could come back & pickup the machine. Andrew picked up the machine took it home and together with Rawdon they spent some more time on it. I finally got the message i was hoping for ... All fixed. 
I know a lot of you guys know them but i have to say these guys are legends. I just wish i had met them earlier. Its good to know that some guys will go the extra distance to help. I Look forward to catching up with you guys again some time maybe at a pinball gathering.

Also in a way, its a shame that you got it fixed... few members here would be glad to see this title on offer...LOL!!!

Great news! Any chance of detailing what was actually found to be the cause of the problem in case one of us (ie ME) comes across this or a similar problem?

Great stuff, I was just thinking about how the internet and forums etc have made owning pinball feasible, with guides and people who can help easy to be found. Glad your game is going and kudos to the guys who got it there for you.

Also be keen to hear what the issue was.

Apparently there was a wire soldered to the door which was causing a short. Not sure where it was comming from but it shouldn't have been there and that was the problem. Someone in their wisdom decided a disconnected wire must have come from the door.
Andrew or Rawdon would be able to give you more details.

I have known Cardini for a while - he is a VERY VERY VERY decent person as has been shown again here in what he has done to assist someone  #*#
