yeh by the looks of the videos/flyers etc on the Stern website, the Avengers Pro definately looks silver-ish until u see it in person.

Its much better in person than the photos, and the photos are great.

You will be VERY VERY happy Jady(Swinksy).  ^^^ ^^^

Was in the Reject Shop today and they had kiddie bowls and cups with the Avengers branding like the machine. My girlfriend said no, I'm a big boy now. Haha

UPDATE - more plays today on Avengers.
I went back to Timezone n played the Avegers Pro a few more times incl today. I think i have visited the place apx 4 times now to get a good feel for the Avengers Pro machine.

I will say that the machine doesnt flow the same way/style that AC/DC or X Men does, but George Gomez's style is such that he sections his pinball playfields off in such a way that not all areas flow into the next area etc. I think he makes his playfields this way meaningly due to the style of straight shots he creates. His style seems to be more a triangular style/flow of shots versus John Borgs roundness if u get my drift. Its hard to explain til u have played the game alot.

Its almost like he has designed the game/playfield so that u can shoot n concentrate on a certain area and easily stay in that area, or shoot to get back in that area again n again, versus being sent out/let out of that area easily by that section just sending u off to another. Its like u can shoot whatever area u want to, over n over again, and strategically stay focused on that area til u have mined it repeatedly to get all your objectives before u then chose to shoot n move on to another area. This style/design of playfield means u can concentrate on the areas u want to by aiming/playing your shots well. Its a great way actually to get the most out of the objectives n point scoring the way he has done this.

The only casualty along the way is the rollover lanes in the top corner being a little hard to see, and the bottom inside rollover lit inserts being almost impossible to see but i expect the bottom inner rollovers to be fixed by the time full production starts with clear parts to those specific plastics.

This machine is fun, and different, and I like the way it is very different. I think people who like a strategic pinball game will like this pinny cause he has set it up in a way that playing strategically rewards you the most. Rather than playing with the game like X Men, Avengers Pro makes u feel u are battling against it which is the whole idea of the battle feel i think Stern/Marvel and the designer wanted.

A good solid fun strategic pinball that will reward u for hours with heaps of missions n modes.  ^^^ ^^^ ^^^

Thanks for update Brett, yeah the more I read and watch it does lack flow and that's why I'm out as I love fast flowing games,  I love the look of it and the sounds but I'll wait now for Matalica.

It does flow, but its just a different style of flow than what I am used to.

Some machines, the ball can bounce from one section around to all the other sections within seconds. With Avengers, its designed in a way that it almost feels like he has designed it in apx 6 x areas.

Obviously top left n top right.
Middle left n middle right.
Bottom left n bottom right.

The botom left n right can bounce around to each other easily, but the other 4 x areas are designed in such a way that u can keep working those areas without getting sent out of those areas as easy as other dmd machines I have played.  I like this machine alot. It has a battle feel to it, and its not a easy bounce around everywhere game. Its like it was set up to make u play a battle game of Avengers versus Avengers and Avengers versus the badies and the playfield layout works really really well to do exactly that. No playfield is perfect, but I like the fact that this playfield is not predictable.

Its alot of fun. Just different, but still excellent. I think most people who like Stern will like this game alot. Time will tell. Wont be long to shipments arrive.

here is a shot of "the Pin" The Avengers.

I know it isn't for anyone but more a out of interest shot of the playfield.

It would be good if they sent a few out to Australia at a reasonable price...I would look at one just for the rarity n fun of it.....might be a good pinny to site in a shop n see how it goes ??  might be surprised with some decent coin geting put in by kids n some adults, worth a try...why not...

layout looks good.
