Another US pinball place
« on: October 14, 2012, 03:06:09 AM »
Found this pinball museum in New Jersey.
Great setup, all machines set on free play, all day pass is $20.
Best thing is that all machines are in excellent condition, and about 90% of  them are pre 1985.
There are around 160+ pinballs here plus some bowlers and gun machines as well.
Staff are friendly and great to talk to. This place started out with a bloke with a machine and went to  the usual hobby gone mad setup, when his house filled up he started thsi  place.
All machines operate pretty well flawlessly and if something goes wrong they are onto it  straight away. All playfields and backglasses are minimum 8/10 and IMHO 99% are 10/10.
not even any fading .
There are some rare machines here too like the 2 player Gridion. (pic for you Nino).
As well as this each and evey machine has a placard on  top with its history.
Lets go Brandon!

Here are 4 more pics, spent about 6 hours playing machines in this place.

Also, dropped in to Marco specialties the  other day, I know  we all like to  complain about their  shipping  prices, but what a nice bunch of blokes, have a massive inventory there.
I was really impressed with the place and obviously no shipping on the stuff I picked up  whilst there.
Lets go Brandon!

Thanks for sharing your great experience.
The all day entry price is a bargain. You would need to spend two days there to play every machine at least once.
Good to see an enthusiast with such good quality veterans.

If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.

WOW !

What great value - $20 and you can play all these games. That is incredible value. Some REALLY nice and rare games. I'd go nuts in a place like this !

Actually, with more and more Aussie Pinheads heading across these days ( which is great ) and also others making plans ......thats not a bad idea for a 'sticky' thread somewhere within the forum...... a list of Pinball 'Musuems ( as such ) across the USA, anything that is open 24/7 rather than just a list of the known shows.......I am thinking of the Skate shop in New York City ( Recipocal ?), Lyons Pinball and Arcade in Colorado, the wierd place in Seattle ( name forgotten already ) PAcific Pinball Museum ( not the yearly Expo ) in San Rafael CA...........theres 4 more without putting much effort in at all.

Not sure if mods want to think about that as an easy travel 'reference' thread  !@#
