starting to agree with you cavey (just not a fan of black trim), it does seem more balanced but reckon the black needs the button guard side trim to remove the big empty space where the silver is as reckon they did the decal design to suit the premium which I am guessing will have these rails.

Also that is the reason for doing the art to get a feel of what would look cool and what doesn't saves spending a heap of money and regretting it.

You can buy the flipper guards (half semi circle with flipper button hole) from AMD for apx $15 a pair instead of having to buy the whole Stern rails with flipper guards....saves u paying the $66 a set plus postage if u decide to keep it the stock colour.......

I was dead set certain I was going to change my AC/DC Pro metal work to red like the Premium/LTBR etc, but the more the weeks went past, the more I found that the stock colours work really well. I also found that when playing a Premium with the bright red rails etc, the red was a bit distracting......

See what u think when it arrives....

I wondered what the burn marks were on the captain america shield ...? BUT when u click on the photo, u can see that he has designed battle damage into it with fine detail of scratches and bullet holes/damage etc...very cool...just needs a few flashing lights now..... ^^^

here are all the cabinets together as a comparison

The green looks terrible on the Pro. The blue isn't too bad, but I'd leave it stock or go chrome. I'm a big fan of chrome extras but I'm not sure it would suit Avengers the way it does with other themes such as Tron.

A pinsider has already come up with a cool tesseract cube mod.

utoplay=1&rel=0

"Parts needed
Golf Ball Display Case (Hobby Lobby $3)
Frosted Glass Spray (Menards or your favorite hardware store $5)
Wax Paper $2
LED Ball with spring switch (Toys R Us Rubber Ball $10)
Bracket (Right Angle Aluminum from Menards and a lot of Dremel work $6)

Note: the rubber ball contains three LED balls submerged in a "liquid". The ball has to be cut open to retrieve the three magic LED balls with motion sensitive spring switch."

backbox lighting mod info - done by a pinsider Zdoor

"Since nobody is making a backbox kit yet, I made my own. Used foam board from Michaels. It was not too hard. Put color changers behind the Avengers logo. Also wired an inline dimmer on the led strips not controlled by the color changing remote so I could mess with the brightness some. Dimming definitely improved the glare. Still tweaking it some but its pretty decent for a first attempt."

"Had a couple people PM me for some instructions here is what I did.

I had most of the items already. You can get dimmers, LED 5050 strips and rgb controllers on eBay or a site I use called torchstar.com. I don't use their connectors as I find solder more reliable. The foam backing I got at Michaels for less than 10 bucks. You need to remove the flourescent tube and ballast. The hardware to mount is from Home Depot. I used #6 threaded all thread and cut it to 4" pieces. You also need 4 #6 fender washers, 4 nuts (1 to tighten against the bracket and1 to hold the fender washer as backing for your board) and 2 wing nuts in the same size. Your finished board mounts to the hardware once installed. I tapped power at he right front of the machine using the factory 12v/5v molex plug. I made a 3 prong molex with parts I had or you can find them on Amazon. You'll need a crimper also. I made a molex connection at the back box for removal using the same connectors (I had a bunch from other stuff).

If you are going to do flashers, you need to wire those led strips on their own circuit for each flasher. You'll run those wires to under the play field and to the location of the flashers you want to tap into. You really only need the ground wire and can use the 12v from the power supply wire you already ran. You'll need to either tap in at the idc connector(which is what I do when possible) or solder in at the flasher.

It took me about 4-5 hours and I had to lay out the lights from scratch. If you don't need tools, you can build it for around $75 and have enough parts to do several boards.

Good luck.

Giovanni"

This machine will end up with more toys than Twilight Zone. Is there any other machines people know of that owners like to modify with tons of toys?

here is a interesting Hulk topper for a Avengers pin by Laseriffic. It's got really good details but just a bit much - mainly the red bricks - I just can't imagine this blending in with the back box.

I'm talking to a guy from America who does the mods. I think I will get some from him, only if the freight isn't to high.

If anyone has any leads on a "Blackbird" Black plastic Military Jet used in the X Men Pinball Display/Graphics, please let me know.

I want to place it ontop/near the left hand lower ball scoop on my X Men Pro as a neat Mod.

For it to fit, it would have to be no bigger than apx 10ish centimetres, or slightly bigger or smaller.

Thankyou !

Hey Fellas,
I make these pop caps, El wire cross over and new sling plastics so you can see the L o K I inserts covered by the factory plastics.
All are in stock and ready to ship to AU - takes two weeks.

I also make a back lit solid cube sized for less weight.
I sell the cube and caps direct or trough Pinball Life  and Pinball Decals.
Check out all my mods for Sterns via youtube.

There is a LOKI relocation kit on the assembly line now also.
