Cactus Canyon - PROC system
« on: December 23, 2012, 07:50:54 PM »
here is a interesting upgrade and had a laugh at one of the added modes - Drunken Multiball - where the right flipper button operates the left flipper and the left flipper button operates the right flipper. Therefore you have 2 options try and persist with opposite flipper movement or play the game with you arms crossed over.

"“a Cactus Canyon, running custom software on a P-ROC controller and a PC. The new custom version, dubbed Cactus Canyon Continued, is programmed and overlaid on top of the original"

The guy has made it available for anyone that wants to do it themselves, head to:

there is lots of new stuff (game rules / features) in the game so head to the above link for lots of info of new game features, discarded game features. A shame it is such a expensive game to then do a major mod on.

General Rules

Complete all three shots to any ramp to start Polly Peril
Complete all three shots to the loops to enable Tumbleweeds
Complete three shots on both the ramps AND the loops to start Stampede Multiball

Shoot the mine to advance locks for Gold Mine Multiball
The mine also collects Extra Balls when lit.

Shoot the saloon to fight the Bart Brothers
The saloon also collects a Bounty if it is lit
The saloon also starts Drunk Multiball if it is ready.

Defeat the Bart Brothers to light the inlanes for Gunfights
Win Gunfights to advance your Rank

Hit the Quickdraw Targets to light the inlanes for Quickdraw
Winning Quickdraw lights a Bounty prize
Win 4 Quickdraws to start a mob target round: Showdown or Ambush

Hit the beer mug target to advance progress toward lighting Drunk Multiball
Once lit, start Drunk Multiball with the Saloon

Complete the five requirements to light your Badge
Once the Badge is fully lit, you can fight Bionic Bart
If you beat Bionic Bart then you can shoot the Mine to start High Noon

Extra Stuff

Hold a flipper button while the ball is in the shooter lane for a Super Skill-shot
Make consecutive left & right ramp shots for a Ramp Combo
Win your match for Last Call

Wow, he has really added some great stuff. The system has great promise for this game in particular, usually criticized for its incomplete rules. Lots of info in 'New Things in Cactus Canyon Continued'
