Gottlieb Ice Revue Resto
« on: December 29, 2012, 08:43:40 PM »
I am doing a restore on a 1965 Gottlieb Ice Revue.  This pinball was brought for me by my son for fathers day in 2011. I was born in 65 and because of this and the sentimental value as my son brought it for me, this will get the full treatment.  It will of cause be a keeper and maybe a family heirloom in the future.

I will post the before pics in the next few days for all to see the progress, but can tell you the cabinet art work is rough, cabinet metal such as coin door, legs, ball shooter, etc are rusted.

Gavin (Retropin) is doing cabinet stencils, and after seeing the A 1 cabinet works in Nino ( Strangeways) threads, I am employing his services for the cabinet respray.

I have already totally stripped the machine in readiness for the paint job.

I have also sourced new legs (Nino) and coin door, ball shooter etc from Pinball Resource.

Photos to follow.

Looking forward to working on this title. I have not seen an Ice Revue for many years, and I will ensure the cabinet is as original as I can achieve.
