I contacted pinball kits (pinside forum name) and notified them that I was listing their pinside quotes "word for word" on AP and they know this thread address. So they are aware of us now but when you don't know who ben heck is, is a concern of what they know and don't know about about pinball communities - local and overseas.

I think they have realised that they may just have to finish their project and then tell the world - I think they were trying to get helpful feedback but turned into something else and they retracted to finish the project - maybe Christmas project excitement and they have a bit more to think about. I am still hoping it comes off and wish them all the luck.

Not to matter.

The Pinball Arcade has a contract with this mob who just started an Australian website. They have been making VP tables for a while

Aus site (which is barebones really ) http://virtuapin.com.au/
US Site http://virtuapin.net/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1&zenid=6afbd0d73dbaf66d401e5ca3607d8fdb

Looking forward to what they do with a TPA cab.

AFAIK there is no "contract" or such. The guys at Farsight bought one of Noah's machines (the VirtuaPin) with a real DMD. It arrived about a week before one of the gaming expos and they hacked together support just in time.

Needless to say everybody loved it :)

Pinball Arcade has portrait support that plays really well already on a cab, but Farsight has said the plan is to add really 3 screen cab support in the future.

My money is we see it just before Timeshock lands, but heh, I'm a cynical skeptic ;)

Having said all that "VirtuaPin is coming is Australia" has been the line since at least last July, and that skeleton site got thrown up once Infinity Amusements (http://infinityamusements.com) started trading and hasn't changed since. Just a co-incidence I'm sure ;)

Won't matter anyway, I would prefer to build my own. I am sure that there will be some awesome designs to be had from guys who do it early.
