I think you can consider your Haggis order deposit as sunk money.  If they can't deliver their orders of Fathom that were paid in full, I can't seem them ever getting to Centaur.

Think i sold my restored Centaur for 8k or 9k at the peak a few years ago.

Can't see the pics as the ad is down, assume you bought it, good game.

I have a Haggis on order, fingers crossed.

This month update brings us some new files and cards added to existing files.
For Atari - Middle Earth I've added a German instruction card.
On Pinside I've found an owner willing to share the images for Chicago Coin - Kicker.
Zaza has send me a nice scan for the Data East fuse label 820-6095-00 and I've adjusted the file accordingly.
In cooperation with Father and Son Pinball I've created a file for the Genco score reels replacement numbers.
Thanks to the scans I received for Gottlieb - Sheriff I was able to adjust the file for Lawman too.
In the process I've also added a new file for Gottlieb - Texas Ranger.
Carny_Priest has been working on the Stern Pinball cards making them better every time.
Better graphics, better yellow background, better fonts where needed.
Below is a complete list of which files he has updated.
He is still working on them, so I expect another update next month.
I've added a new file for Nugent Self-Test Display Numbers and corrected the Tech Chart.
The Williams Diagnostic cards were in a single file, but now are split into each own file.
Williams - Gay 90's has been corrected and cards added to the file.
A few new STD labels are also added to the Williams and STD section.
That's all for now.
Below is a complete list of all the changes made this month.

I hope you all enjoy the files I created,
Peter

Hey Tim,

I also moved to Tassie almost 3 years ago now.

I will say it is hard to find many pins for sale here, the one you are looking at is probably right for the current market provided all that he mentions is true. But I am no expert, and the market is softening a bit of late.

Also, just in case you are unaware...Haggis pinball are remaking Centuar. It is more than the one you are looking at though, just thought I should mention it.

Going by the 4 hour drive comment I take it you are far north?

Hi Everyone

Been a long time .

After selling all my pins over 5 years ago now and moving over to Tassie I have decided that's its now time for me to get back into the wonderful world of pinball.

I've always been a SS man and although I have never played a Centuar it has always been a title that has interested me. i have found one for sale here in Tas that looks very nice from the gumtree ad. What I have noticed is that the price of pins has really gone through the roof. I'm more than happy to pay a fair market price and would like to know if this one is fairly priced for the condition and title before I make the 4 hour drive to check it out.

If you have the time to have a quick look at the link and get back to me with your thoughts that would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the link  www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/moonah/other-electronics-computers/centuar-pinball-machine-reduced-9k-firm/1320013328

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Tim

Restorations / Re: ? About tumblers

I use 2 X Graf Tumblers and swear by them. One has a more course media for the really stubborn parts, and the other for a more shiny finish.

https://ssaa.org.au/stories/reloading-graf-case-tumbler.html

Ultrasonic - I bought one from eBay over 10 years ago and it works fine. It is the largest capacity I could find. Still need to be used in an area away from the workshop as it is VERY noisy, but I use it all the time.

I've seen some weird things in my time, but that fuse holder is scary !

Score motor continuously running is the reset cycle not completing. Could be the score reels not resetting.

Tumbers, in Australia you are limited. Locally there is only one brand available. But it works for me. I have had two going most of the day for the last two weeks. I do not over load, a generous handful of parts is enough. Walnut media works for me, but it will stain any plastic parts (slingshot tips). I do not use additives, they have not worked for me in the past.
I do not put in large brackets (pop bumper brackets). Things need to turn with the media, big stuff just sits and bangs on the bottom
Remove any grease on your parts, grease will shorten the life of the media
Media will last for years, even with heavy usage
I bought my tumblers and media from the local gun shop

Lyman Turbo, is what I use

I tried an ultrasonic cleaner. Did not work for me
Plastic parts I either replace, or put in the sink and scru with a toothbrush. Remember to count black stand-offs before you put them in the sink as they can go down the drain
