This could be closer than you think. Based on the youtube username and background I am fairly certain the vid in post 1 was filmed in a certain Sydney pinball distributors office.
Just to add:
There could be a commercial release of this mod for other machines soon as well. There is a company in the US called Intersil where pinball mod queen Jeri Ellsworth is working on getting a similar mod released.
