Thanks guys, looks like I'm sunk. I was kind of thinking that if I could remove the epoxy, find out what components make these things work, maybe find someone who could make some circuit boards for me (hint hint) then I could use my new found circuit board repair skills to simply make my own new CDIs.
I figured that since jaycar offers a cdi in kit form it couldn't be too hard to just make your own.
Oh well, I should probably just stick to reselling parts and let somebody else do the manufacturing.
