You never seem to see a working Playmatic
They are always in good condition because they didn't get a lot of game play because they were always broken.
I've heard they can be nightmares to get working  but i've never worked on one myself.

I'd steer clear of it unless your feeling really adventurous  , and i wouldn't pay more than $50 to $100 for it

That's exactly right, Ken. Dad had two Space Gamblers and after developing faults they were removed from site and parted out. Playfields looked great because they rarely had a ball across them.

I'd avoid a Playmatic SS unless you want to use the playfield as a wall hanging or coffee table.
