Yes the thwack sound of a replay was the holy grail for me growing up. Followed sometimes by the disgust of clocking the machine and going back to zero to start again. It wasn't until the SS machines and later that high scores were kept for all to see and brag about. Still...the replay credit went a long way to massaging the ego.
