Can you post a picture ? This does not sound right at all.
OK, Here's a pic of one end of the non-factory wire, it's the thicker yellow one connected to the lower lug of the coil:
The other end connects to the fuse near the main flippers:
Here you can see the whole wire, running from the bottom-right of the photo to the top-left:
Just wondering what problem this mod would be intended to fix.
