Got home and think have solved the problem. Not hardware but adjustment. Got the new pf in just before midnight yesterday so didn't have the have the time to investigate further. Found shooter was hitting the ball on the top and so lowered it and much better. Sorry for the thread but hope someone with a similar problem will see this in the future.
