Thanks for the help guys I changed 2 POT's yesterday. All went smooth and now seems to be operating a lot better.
That's the 5th time I've put a question out there when I have had a problem and that's the filth time I have been able to fix it thanks to help from others on the forum.
A year ago I would have had a service person around to change a coil now I'm pulling out boards and changing components. Very satisfying. I can see why a lot of guys get as much if not more pleasure from the repairing and restoring than the playing.

It is always best to ask first if you are not 100% and wait until you get a few responses from people who know what they are doing.

Andrew - this plagues the industry at the moment. What I'm finding is some really poor workmanship from the bigger companies. Pinball owners are unfortunately used to paying high prices for poor work.
