I fitted a new line filter but it still trips the switch. I'm going to order a thermistor which may fix the issue.
The themistor is IN SERIES with the mains and is VERY unlikely to be causing a tripping breaker.
The MOV is DIRECTLY across the mains and is VERY likely to be causing the problem.
I've ordered both parts just in case although the
thermistor limits the surge of current when I switch it on which sounds more like the issue I'm experiencing.
The
MOV protects from power spikes and surges.
I've also lost some illumination in the lower playfield...I hope I haven't damaged the bridge rectifier or capacitor
