Love both pinball and video - totally different playing experiences, so not in competition with each other. I have a sit-down cabnet with 1830 MAME emulation games on it here (with 3 pinball machines), and the kids and are always alternating.
When you ask am I any good - nothing compared to real players. In another thread, we were talking about "Kings of Kong" that was on ABC 2 a couple of weeks ago. Still on iView if you want to see it, under "documentaries". Those guys are serious players, with some personality flaws to go with it.
Can hold my own on Q*Bert, Galaga, Scramble, Donkey Kong, but only in my own world, not on the big stage. Loved Missile Command, but you need to track ball to play it, so no good on home emulators.

Cannot get into modern games (Xbox, Playstation) as too many minor controls to memorise, so have to sit down and play it in long sessions and regularly. Much prefer one joystick, one fire button. Old dogs, new tricks like they say.
