thanks mate but unsure if they'll fit those in my tech thread. I am really keen on finding the 3inch ones but have had no luck

If you wanted to use the new molded style you would have to cut a grrove in the shafts for the grub screws.
This is what I will be doing in the future, a lot cheaper than buying shafts and bats separately.
not sure what you mean. Newer shafts slide into a hole in the bats, my bats require like a plate shoe with a hole where a screw attaches the plate/shaft and a locating pin. I'm guessing the grubs you are talking attach the shaft to the paw. Or am I not seeing the right thing?
