This beast with the right driver is right up the Nissan GTR or Porche 911 alley.
One car to take seriously is also the Dodge Viper. Holy crap, for an overweight American V10 that thing makes others eat dust and rubber pieces.
Nurburgring is a great track to separate the men from the boys.
How do you come to that conclusion ?
I see the Nissan GTR with a time of 7-24, in semi-wet conditions. Quite a bit away from the 7-41.
I count about 22 corners where heavy braking and hard acceleration is required. The new torque vectoring should give a second or so gain per corner. Masses of torque are handy as shown by the Viper times. If that torque can be delivered effectively to the correct back wheel, we should see some interesting lap times.
In regards to the 95K price tag, they are now saying that the price will not exceed that amount. GMH said last week that they will slash prices by 10K on the new Commodore range. I wonder if that discount flows through to HSV?
