Well thats all over.
Who won- what happened?

The machines were checked over, tested and polished up this afternoon.
The prize display was created

These 2 games sit pretty well together !

As do these 2

Ok - so we firstly had to get through our our last (6th ) round and determine our final standings for the year based on those game results.
1st and 2nd final standings for the year were pretty much in the bag for Rollerball and Jonesy.........but 3rd place was open to around 4 or 5 other players. So as usual for our league, each player completed 2 three ball games on the 'machine of the round' - this time being Monopoly.

Here is Jonesy on one of his round games - note the prizes placed right by the game tonight just to keep the pressure on all contenders.

I keep the 'machine of the round' in a separate room to the main games so players can concentrate and the other guys can continue to play the other machines while they wait to play the league game. Obviously Metallica got some lovin tonight  ^^^

So after the final Monopoly games were played out - we determined the final places for the year and had our top 3 players , ready to shoot it out in a 3 ball game on a machine to be selected by our last place getter for they year - Anna, who i must say had some good games on Monopoly tonight in a last ditch effort to come dead stone cold floundering last ( sorry Anna, that sounded bad hey  #@# ) - ONE point ahead of Simon for they year !

Anna selected Metallica , because the guys were so ugly......no not our champs - the Metallica guys ( well I think that's what she meant anyway )
So it came down to Jonesy , Rollerball, and our little mate Millsy.

Here are the guys in their final game - I have to say the respect shown by the crowd at this stage was great , with all spectators VERY quiet, it was like Pot Black!

Did you note dead keen Millsy in the shots above - eyeing out the comp - Captain serious !
Would all the eagle eye , over the shoulder viewing of the other players pay off?
Is this the stance of a champion?

Well as a matter of fact - yes it DID pay off for the one that I called our dark horse in around Round 2 of the comp.
Congrats Millsy :D

Rollerball came in 2nd and will now have to don his best suit and take his Mrs out for a seafood dinner .
Jonesy - out leader for the year and Mr Consistency........crumbled after I made him a coffee and came in third.

Once again , a gracious shout of thanks to our sponsors , The Pinball Shed and RTBB Quality Pinball Parts , and of course all of our players for thier input this year.

Got through the year without ONE machine hang up - which is amazing.
Hope you all had a blast  <..>
