Auctions sometimes can work out ok, think that SI was listed couple of times before with no result, 2275 - ebay comish = 2k
Correct !
There's a lot of project junkers hitting eBay that need a ton of work, which is great for people like me, as long as the junkers prices are not too expensive. I like the "auctions" where the game fetches a VERY low price, yet is listed the next day or so as a "non paying bidder". Why would someone win a cheap machine for a low price and not pay for it ? They have had 24 hours to "not pay" ?
The classic late 70's are increasing on price, but buyers need to look beyond the hype and make sure they know what they are actually buying. Seems a lot of KISS machines are hitting eBay again, and the prices are way over the top. for those prices you would expect a "High End Restoration".
But I have seen a trend towards High end Restos lately. Thankfully, buyers are willing to wait for them as they take a lot of time to complete !
