Im not into electronics and really wish I knew what you guys were trying to tell me. I think I need someone to look at it. Do you think it would be an expensive repair?

Not an expensive repair at all. Hopefully someone in your area will chime in and be able to do the work for you. As a standard on all SYS80 machines ;

All fuses need to be checked for correct value
The ground boards near the transformer assy need to be resoldered.
All boards in the head need Ground wires back to the Transformer assembly.
Filter cap needs to be replaced.

It is all fairly straight forward - no more than an hour or two's work.
