The coin box is a shocker to look at but is solid and tough, they don't make them like they used to. I tried different things and found Brasso and vinyl scrubber does the best job to remove the gunk and bring up a shine - there is a bright patch in the last photo where I scrubbed the crap off.
The operator card on the coin box had contact on it and is well preserved. I will revive it and stick it back on. Allens Amusements at Newtown no longer exists and was the oprator I bought Flash from in 1980. The Double Shute sticker has had it but I will reproduce one and put on the polished box.
