Does the ball finally get kicked out of the swamp ?
I think you have a faulty switch in the swamp. From memory, there are three switches. Go into the setup / diagnostics and select "tests" and then advance to "switch edge test". Then pop the playfield and manually activate each switch in accordance with the switch matrix page of your manual. One of the switches may need to be adjusted.
