Being on rural property, certain times of the year we used to get mice running around in the roof, friggen annoying when you are trying to sleep. I put several party packs of ratsack in the roof which definitely slowed them down, but once we got one that died down the wall near the kitchen window, obviously the smell could not be contained by a timber architrave and everytime I walked over to the sink I would get a sudden reminder that I should get the missus to do the dishes for a couple of weeks
