Played this in Texas several times... I like it, but possibly only because it's new pinball, not because it's a great game. I'm not a fan of having any kinds of targets close to the centre of the playfield near the flippers as I find it artificially (if you know what I mean) speeds up the game. I like nice, open, flowing PFs... and the drop targets kind of hamper that.

Not a great fan of the whirlpool thingy for the right flipper either. It's great during multiball, but during the rest of the game I find it slows the game down too much. I'd love to give it another go soon though and just reaffirm my thoughts, but my opinion for now is that it sits alongside recent Stern titles like X-Men and Transformers in that it's an "okay" game, but doesn't come close to hitting it out of the park unlike Metallica (post-update) or Star Trek.

I just want Stern, now that they've released a couple of outstanding titles in MET and ST, to go out on a limb and produce one original theme every couple of years. Chatting to Nate from Coast 2 Coast Pinball, we were in agreement that 1/4 of tables being an original theme from the world's largest pinball manufacturer would work wonders in convincing the general public that a game doesn't need a license to be great. Just look at MM, TotAN, CV, High Speed/Getaway... and they could save money on licensing!
