Thanks Ralph, I did de solder the unit as it is so much easier to work on. A tip for anyone who doesnt already know this. if your having trouble transfering heat on a soldered connection, get some new solder melted onto your soldering iron before trying to de solder that stubborn connection. you will wonder why you havnt always done this
