I am also considering a Getaway as my first pin. What is it like as a first pin in terms of difficulty and how easy it is to repair?

Good entry level pin. Nothing too complex about it so not much can go wrong with it. As long as the main toy (supercharger) is working you should be good to go.

Cosmetically there are a lot of units around with faded cabs (red writing faded to silver/white) so if you can find one with some colour in the sides it is an added bonus.

Seeing a well running supercharger in action always gets the blood pumping to those new to pinball.

Pricing - aim for between 2000-2500 for a fully working example as a private sale. Anything higher is either restored with a cabinet redecal or dealer pricing.
