I have a Freddy Nightmare Elm Street.

In the menu there are some adjustments re the claw save (subjest to what roms u are running).

It does hesitate a little bit during gameplay but no more than a second or two absolute max. It comes up, stays up, then sometimes pops up n down to tease you.

Check u have the latest roms and triple check switchs.
