If you want to "have a go" at reconditioning or restoration, just take your time - it is not a race. Take photos and enjoy the process. I would not be doing it unless I loved doing it.

I did not keep track of the hours I spent, it was more how many weeks/months.

The more photos you take the better, I even googled for other photos from other restorations to help with the correct positioning of parts - what you took off may not necessarily be correct -  a common problem on my IJ  *.*
