Yes, you have a dead LED as Gavin suggests. Remember there are OVER 4000 of them making up the display - it's a simple numbers game.

These displays use 'blocks' of 8 x 8 LEDs from memory so they will repair it by replacing a block. Most likely they will offer a replacement (that has probably already been repaired).
