I am guessing it was not an original ballast DSB. I purchased an original one and it worked instantly which was a relief.

As for the RE part not sure unless u am doing something wrong. I was just replying on my original thread using an app on my phone so I apologize if I am stuffing things up, but at least the damm fluoro light is working :)
