Someone may know by colour who owns this type of machine but you can easily check yourself with a multimeter as you used before. Make sure the red probe is plugged into the V on the meter an the black is plugged into the common on the meter. Test the voltage on the plug both ways. When you get a positive reading on the meter the red probe side/wire is positive.
