sorry got it mixed up with the gtb gopher machine

if its intermittent then its more than likely  bad connection or a faulty component on the driver board.

when its not working are any of the 3 leds on the cpu board (the far left rectangular board) lit? if you have no power to +5 at the cpu board then these will not light.
strange for all the flashers to be lit, usually no 5V means every thing should be off. inserts flashers flippers. etc. - except for 2 GI strings

check if LED101 on the driver board is lit. if it is not then you have a problem with the 5 volt circuit, or the connection suppling the ac input for this circuit

if it is lit then you may have +5v at the driver board. if you 4V for example led101 will still be lit but you still don't have enough voltage for the board to run.
so LED101 can tell u if the +5v is dead but it cant guarantee you if its 100%
