cool thank you i'll have a look over this weekend it;s just a bit annoying to try and beat our high scores without enough balls haha 

Sounds like the Ball Count stepper unit needs cleaning as it probably isn't moving freely.

Hopefully it has a label on it so that you can easily identify it.

If you're unsure how to go about cleaning stepper units search for "em pinrepair guide", which describes the process very well.
