Anything more than a couple hundred photos and I would take them to a shop instead and have them done in bulk.
Trust me S, from personal experience you will tire very quickly of loading and unloading 4-6 slides at a time in those plastic trays. Particularly if you buy a scanner that only comes with one 35mm slide tray.
