Thanks heaps guys,

I have the manual with schematics and trying to make some sense of it now, not much of an electronics tech! but should be able to work this out, I have just recently ( a few weeks ago) re crimped all the connectors using the ratchet type crimper and all went quite well. I am more inclined to think it is what Studley67 said about the lamp driver transistor or scr on the lamp matrix board. I know what a transistor is but what is an SCR? excuse my ignorance please. also what is the best way to test or determine which component is at fault?

Thanks again,

Brettski... :)
