Depending on the art design - 90% of the aprons I have done have separate sections, except the misso which I used the full background, dont forget you only have A4 size to use so in some cases there will be joins. When cutting out transfers, cut as close as possible to the artwork - Avoid straight lines, use curves around letters - it looks better & looks like a paint layer. Practice on a spare piece of metal or a trashed apron before rubbing back your original apron in case you don't like the final result. A full vinyl decal is the best way if available.
Once the decal is applied they are slightly thicker than a painted image but a lot thinner than a self adhesive decal.
I dont usually clearcoat the apron when finished as the PF glass will protect it.
