Newer sterns wouldn't have a leak problem. Wonder about the other players entering the market?

All modern options are either "embedded" systems (same as Stern) or PC based. Both these options use lithium button cell style batteries which almost never leak.

Long gone are the days of using dry cells for memory backup.
