on MMs - If you have the $$ - Buy a Fluke - Mine lasted nearly 16 years. Cost around $70 back then, the equivalent is around $250 now. Some of the Jaycar / Dick smith ones are a bit dodgy - so keep the receipts if you are not happy you can return it
