See if it is the switch first - would seem the most likely and easiest to fix. Switch matrix problems can be caused by faulty diodes on the same strobe/return as the switch giving trouble - can be hard to track down. Could possibly be the CPU, easiest way to check is to borrow an Alltek (switch adjustable for all Bally games) CPU off someone and give it a try.
