This project is waiting on HRP to complete the playfield restoration. As soon as Tim is done, I can move back to this restoration. The other hold up is that the side that is reacting to the primer undercoat cannot be painted. I even tried with a roller and no thinner. It just peels off in chunks. I'm still at a loss as to why this is happening, but I'm convinced that the game was used as a toilet in the barn or garage it was stored in. The side that cannot be painted still smells, no matter what I do. I ended up replacing the entire side panel. The front panel may have to be replaced as well as it was damaged as I separated the side from the bottom and front panels.
This is the price I pay when I agree to restore a game "sight unseen". It was delivered straight out of a barn that housed a small zoo. Given the extra hours I've already spent, and the playfield delays, I'm a lot more careful in what games I will restore in the future ! This has become more of a "Love Job" - and I'm not even close to half way through the restoration.
