When i look up .com.au all i get is the broken front page, following any of the links returns me to .com and i have the same issues.

Seems like you are saying that all you have to do is add the pics to the page where you are posting if you want others to see them, same as we all have to. do
You can still login to the "broken" ".com.au". Missing the toolbar and smilies means that mod / package is not working for some browsers. We know the issues is that the site needs upgrading, and then the security modules that allow links to be active will work.
