I was in a similar position when I got my 1978 Playboy. Now I get to play it every day and admire the rails, nails and shine from end to end!
I would keep wondering if it would have looked better had I not taken the rails off but I have no regrets!

Yep .. I am already looking forward to admiring the end result . As I've said in my resto thread I am dtermined to finish the restore before playing a single game , otherwise I reckon I'd be in danger of never finishing the resto
.. mind you the temptation to put it back together and play it is getting harder to resist by the day
