i would assume hot melt glue.
you can get it in clear or a yellowish colour.
i haven't tried it on inserts yet but i know it needs heat to remove it.
i, and other people i know have used it to hold wire or circuit boards in place. or a dab on plugs and sockets on pcbs to stop them from comming unpluged.
and to remove the insert just heat up with a hair dryer, let it cool then peel it off.
