Thanks everyone. Excellent info. I'll have a bash at the sockets. I really did not think it would have any thing to do with sockets due to so many bulbs playing up, but, quick word to my brother this arvo (after asking here) and he agrees with you guys. I'll have a look, might just replace them, IF the newer made chinese parts beat the original, then again, the sockets may not be original anyhows :D. Gave it a good clean just with Euco oil and wow what a different game it is already.

Thanks again all, what an awesome site, very happy and appreciative to be a part of it, and be involved with pinball addicts like yourselves. Bloody hot day around these parts i don't know about you guys, but for me, 10 beers and 4 shots of tequila later still straight AND bloody sweating. *!@
