Thanks for the advice gentlemen.
Checked voltage pinning - correct @ 230v
Checked settings - coils were set on "hard" now adjusted to "soft"
I'd be a doodlehead, the first time I looked in the manual there was no coil power adjusment listed.
Armed with your pointers, I looked again and f**k me; it had printed itself on the page overnight.
Game plays beautifully now . . . . .
