First thing to check is the coil resistance and the Diode.  If you have a multim meter set it on ohms and test the resistance between the two solder lugs.  Unsolder the diode and test it also

I checked between the soldered lugs. I set my multi-meter to ohms at 200 (as nothing else had any reading), and it read 1.1 to 1.2.

I checked the leads and they are fine.
