If you are going to attend a theme park during the school holidays then go on New Year's day. The crowds and hence the lines are greatly reduced.
So far we have attended Dream World (2006) and Movie World (2010) on New Year's day and have not been disappointed. We were up in Toowoomba for Christmas both times.
