Stage 1 Mould made of silicone. Some finished but un-trimmed caps as well.
Caps are pains in the ars* to make. There was a lot of trial and error getting the transluceny just right. Finally there after multiple failures. Made from a 2 part clear epoxy. Dyed with a couple of drops of white dye.
Test fit is fine, caps still need to be trimmed. About to start the artwork.
Stage 2 Decals have been printed on nice thick, red adhesive vinyl, though not exact (compare to original) they are fairly close and will do me fine. This cap was a reject due to the defect in the centre (a bubble).
The black face on the cap is the next process in the works. This will not be a decal.
All 3 caps done. Last step is the face stamp.
Stage 3 Had the stamp made up, is visible in the pic. Inking these caps is problematic. Consistent results are a little hard. More R&D needed for a second good set but for now I am happy with these prototypes!
